A live event is the online equivalent of what happens in an auditorium: one or a few people communicate to a large group, managing the full event experience and controlling the content that is shared. A meeting is the online equivalent of what happens in a conference room: people come together and everyone can participate, work together in real time, or brainstorm on a whiteboard.
